  • 1.  Ability to input fields from parent tickets into the description of task tickets

    We use the task flows for new starter tickets at the moment. 

    When a user sends a new starter form to us, we generate a number of tasks from it. I would like the tasks to include the new starter's name in the task description box. It could be an attribute that we can add into the Set > Task Description box within the process workflow maybe?

    Certainly a good idea if we want to capture fields from parent ticket into task description.

    However, if you just want to maintain 1-1 mapping between corresponding fields, it should work in the current version, for example, 

    description (parent ticket) --------> description (task ticket)
    custom field 1 (parent ticket) ---------> custom field 1 (task ticket)

    The caveat here is the names of custom fields on parent ticket and task tickets should be of exact same name on both ticket templates.

    I'm wondering if this is because the requester in task ticket is the analyst that answered the previous task when you're using tak workflow. Sometimes this can hinder communication with the user.

    Perhaps, when this happens, the original requester would go into the "Requested For" field.

    This only works if the custom fields are linked to the ccti's of the task tickets as well as the parents.
