What we would like to do is automatically populate fields in a ticket with information pulled from another
system. This would use a webservices call to that system and the URL for the rest api get string would need to include variable value(s) taken from other field(s) in the ticket to construct it. eg the PC name.
This would allow us to automatically provide KPIs for the PC to the ticket /sd agent to allow quicker triage of tickets.

If you can describe the use cases you are trying to accomplish we can help with this. With the inbound API and the outbound web services, you can absolutely use web services to set fields.
